Building: 416 West 47th Street

416 West 47th Street is is a 1901 walk-up with renovated junior one-bedroom units in the front of the building and studios in the rear. Some apartments retain original exposed brick and original hardwood floors. Unit letters within the building correspond to floor and unit numbers correspond to position on each floor; for example, apartment 2A is on the ground floor, apartment 2B is on the second floor directly above it, apartment 2C on the third floor directly about 2B, and so forth.

The building is on a tree-lined street off 9th Avenue; close enough to be convenient to the avenue’s neighborhood businesses, bars, and restaurants, but far away enough not to hear the noise. It’s also convenient to Times Square’s several subway lines without being overwhelmed by busy sidewalk traffic. The Hudson River Park is close by to the west. Cats and small dogs are allowed and the building is well maintained by an off-site superintendent.
