Building: 408 West 34th Street

408 West 34th St, also known as Madison Gardens, is a 6 story cooperative that was built in 1963. It was converted into cooperative in 1989. The building features an elevator, laundry, storage units, live-in super, and an intercom system. There is a surface parking lot behind the coop which currently has a wait-list. The building is pet friendly and has low maintenance. Subletting is permitted, however, there is a monthly fee which is determined based off the number of years a shareholder has owned the unit. The building consists of studios, 1 bedrooms and a few 2 bedrooms. The building sits within an area expectant to see a large amount of development, including the new 7 train station at 34th betw 10th and 11th Aves, the Hudson Yards project, the “Manhattan West” development between 33rd and 31st St and 9th Avenue (platform over train yards) and the relocation of Amtrak to the Farley Post Office at 33rd and 9th.
