Since the creation of the Hudson River Park nearby, the area now known as Hudson Square has flourished. At the crossroads of Soho, Tribeca and the West Village, the convenient location offers renovated loft buildings and several new glass condominium towers.

Arguably the most impressive of these new arrivals is 255 Hudson. This sleek, 11-story project was designed by Handel Architects and has 64 apartments, mostly one- and two-bedroom units, several three bedroom units, plus three duplex “townhouses” with 50-foot-deep gardens. Many of the apartments have 13-by-47-foot living areas with 9-foot-eight-inch ceilings. The building, which is near the corner of Dominick Street, has a setback at the 9th floor.

The lobby is attended full-time and is beautifully finished with Anigre Wood, glass and stone. Black leather Barcelona chairs frame a floor-to-ceiling window that looks out into a small yet serene Zen garden.

Atop the soaring glass building is the amazing rooftop terrace which features an outdoor shower, sweet-smelling Jasmine vines, Adirondack chairs, tables and lounges. Another highlight is the beautifully-tended, roof-top lawn.

With soaring ceiling heights and rich mahogany floors, the residences feel large and open. Huge, floor-to-ceiling, double-paned windows offer insulation from weather and sound, and allow for incredible bright light and views.

Kitchens feature Sub-Zero refrigerators, Bosch dishwashers, Viking stainless steel ranges, custom Tanzanian Anigre wood cabinetry and gray Slate countertops, Italian green glass backsplashes, as well as microwave ovens and wine refrigerators. The master bathrooms are truly spa-inspired—with warm-toned Pietra Bedonia marble floors and surrounds, cherry cabinets, and deep soaking tubs by Kohler, in addition to shower stalls in select homes. Second bathrooms in most apartments have limestyle porcelain tiling and glass accents.
.
Residents enjoy the convenience of walking South to the Tribeca neighborhood, East to Soho or North to the West Village. Hudson River Park is just behind the building where there are jogging paths, bike paths, benches and lovely green areas with splendid views over the Hudson River. For commuters, it is an easy, short walk to either the #1 subway line on Canal Street or the A,C line at Spring Street. Also, of note is the 421A tax abatement.

Overall, 255 Hudson is a sophisticated and straightforward residential condominium.
