Building: 195 Bowery

195 Bowery, a 16 story loft condominium, was developed in 2004 by Bowery Boys LLC. Keith Strand designed the modern loft addition to the existing five-story former gaslight factory.

The soaring height of this condominium created by transferring air-rights from properties also owned on Chrystie St, provides most of the lofts spectacular views West over Soho,south-west to the Freedom tower and East over the Sarah D. Roosevelt Park.

The building combines a mix of half-floor lofts on lower floors and bright full-floor lofts with western glass curtain walls on the higher floors. Video security, key-locked elevator, and deeded storage with each full-floor unit are some of the building’s features.

Located at the crossroads of Nolita, Noho and the Lower East Side the area is vibrant with the New Museum, elegant restaurants, entertainment and Whole Foods all within three blocks.
