1831 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd is also sometimes known as 1833-35 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. It is a residential rental building comprised of 46 units and 5 stories with elevator built circa 1920. It is located just 2 blocks north of Central Park and convenient to the 2/3 & B/C subway lines on 110th street. Apartments in this building comprise of Studios, 1 Bedrooms and 2 bedrooms. All bedrooms are able to accommodate queen sized beds and the building is also currently pet friendly. 1831 like many of the buildings in the area is classified as ‘C4 Old Law Tenement’. Buildings in the C4 class are old law tenements built in New York City between 1879 and 1901. These buildings are also called “dumbbell tenements” because they are shaped like a dumbbell, wide at their edges and narrow in the middle.
