Building: 14 West 69th Street

Located just three buildings west of Central Park, this stately 25’ wide building was originally built in 1896 as a mansion, designed by the prolific brownstone architect, Gilbert Schellenger. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style, the four story building features large projecting bay windows, a banistered parapet, and carved ornamentation from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. It has been carefully renovated in 2017 to restore and maintain the most historic architectural elements while fully updating the kitchens and baths for 21st Century luxury.

The interior of the building features prewar architecture on a grand scale. Composed primarily of over-sized studios and classical one bedrooms, these distinguished residences offer carved mantel pieces with working fireplaces, coffered ceilings, oak wainscot, inlaid wood marquetry floors, as well as fully updated stainless steel kitchens, marble accented bathrooms and individual climate control. The fully renovated homes are accessed by a formal central staircase with carved balustrade. There is also a laundry room in the building.
