The term Beaux-Arts is French for “Fine Arts”. When is comes to architecture, Beaux-Arts characteristics include the classic columns, projecting facades, enriched moldings, and free-standing statues like gargoyles. This style heavily influenced U.S. architecture from 1880-1920. You can walk down just about any street in New York and find buildings constructed in this style, including many of New York’s famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, the New York Public Library, and Grand Central Station.
Folio House is a Beaux-Arts style building on the corner of 18th Street in the heart of the Flatiron District. Standing 11 stories tall, 105 Fifth Ave is home to 36 loft apartments.
